Mr. Saral Talwar entered the Automobile Business in 1998, taking on the foot-steps of his father Mr. Sunil Talwar who shifted to Hyderabad in the year 1964 from Amritsar. Saral Talwar was born in Hyderabad on 24th of December 1976. Saral Talwar completed his Schooling and Graduation from Hyderabad he did his MBA from Symbiosis Pune.
Saral Talwar is the Executive Director of the Talwar Group. Talwar Group consists Primarily of Talwar Hyundai (Dealership for Hyundai Cars in Hyderabad), Talwar Auto Garages (Dealership of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles in the State of Telengana), Talwar Cars (Dealership of Volvo Luxury Cars in the states of Telengana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka), Rebel Motors (Dealership of Triumph Super Premium Bikes in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh), Talwar Bajaj (Dealership of Bajaj Bikes in Hyderabad), Talsons Motors (Dealership of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles for Pune), Talwar Trading Company (Distributors of Hyundai Spare Parts for the state of Telangana) and Vista Entertainments (An Event Management company)
In the year 1998, when hardly anyone could even pronounce the name of Hyundai, Saral Talwar opened one of the 1st Hyundai dealership for the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad under the name of “Talwar Hyundai”. Today Talwar Hyundai has four new car Showrooms, One Used Car Showroom and five workshops, spread out in the entire Hyderabad/Secunderabad city. Growing from strength to strength Talwar Hyundai sells of around 5000+ cars in the year (including pre-owned car sales)
Talwar Auto Garages is the dealer for Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles, dealing in their LCV’s, MCV’s, HCV’s and Buses since 1984. Since the year 1995 – 96 Talwar Auto Garages has been awarded as their highest selling dealer in the Country and in the year 2015 won that award for the 20th consecutive years making it a history of sorts in the Automobile Industry.
In the year 2009, Saral Talwar, entered the Premium car segment by becoming the first dealer of Volvo Cars in South India. Taking the New entrants in the Luxury Car Market,Talwar Cars Became the highest selling dealers for Volvo Cars selling nearly 35% of Volvo India’s Total sale.
After successfully capturing Cars and Commercial Vehicles Market in Telangana, he expanded the Volvo Eicher Dealership into Pune. Saral Talwar then entered into the 2 Wheelers Market by opening a dealership for Bajaj 2 Wheelers in 2012 and taking the sales to over 3000 vehicles in just 2 years. To compliment and complete its range of products, he then entered the Luxury Bike industry with the Iconic Brand Triumph, by taking up their dealership for the Combined state of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Today Rebel Motors sells over 100 Bikes a year in Hyderabad.
Owing to his innovative thinking and natural leadership qualities Mr. Saral Talwar had been chosen by Hyundai Motor India to represent all the dealers of Andhra Pradesh at all forums within and outside of Hyundai Motor India. Apart from the dealership Saral Talwar actively takes interest in the general well being of the Automobile Industry and is the Committee Member and Treasurer of the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicle Dealers Association (APMVDA), which has all the Automobile Dealers of all Brands in Combined AP as members. Seeing his work in APMVDA, the Federation of All India Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), which has its members from all dealerships across the country, appointed Mr. Saral Talwar as their South Region Chairman, handling the affairs of four states (AP, TN, Karnataka & Kerala) and is part of the executive Council of the FADA.
Saral Talwar along with his wife Radhika Talwar, started an event management company called M/s. Vista Entertainments. They conceptualized the first ever Auto Show in South India and held the same in July 2009, in association with APMVDA and FADA and since then have held 4 editions of the show and it is held once in two years and gets around 70k-80k visitors visiting the show annually. He also loves to help the needy and contribute to the society in whatever way he can. He is associated with organisations like Deaf reach, Teach for Change, Heal A Child and We Belief Foundation to name a few. He is also part of the Round Table Movement, which works to educate the underprivileged children. He is a member of some of the most elite clubs of the society including Secunderabad Club, Nizam Club, Jubilee Hills Club and FAPCCI.
Apart from Automobiles, now he has extended to trying his hand in new start-ups and has already funded one start up from Bangalore. He is always on a look-out for good investments and start-ups that require help to bring some new and unique ideas to life.
